People in Western Europe and the USA often cannot imagine that, even in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, there are different faces of the society, besides war and terror.
In Arbil, Iraq I photographed this Karate School, practising and training in the Sabee Abdurahman Parc . Daytime is too hot with temperatures over 50 degrees Celsius. At night though families gather in the parcs of the city to dance, eat, look at big screen bollywood movies, chat, laugh and .........look at a karate demonstration :)
