The Sail Tower (Hebrew: בית המפרש, Beit HaMifras), officially District Government Center - is a skyscraper and government building in Haifa, Israel. It is part of Haifa's District Government Center named after Yitzhak Rabin.
Its construction began in 1999 and was completed on February 28, 2002. It has 29 floors and stands at 137 m (405 ft).
The District Government Center in Haifa was planned to combine new and old elements. In contrast with the modern Sail Tower, the promenade leading up to it was designed in an older Middle Eastern style, including mosaic on the floors depicting the history of Haifa. One of the maps depicted dates back to 1773.

The Haifa Clock Tower, El-Jarina Mosque
The clock tower in Haifa is at the front of the El-Jarina Mosque which is situated in downtown Haifa near
the Sail Tower.
The ornamented tower has six stories. There is a dome at the top of the tower that now bears the Muslim crescent symbol.  There were four clocks on the fourth story but today only remnants of one clock (and not of the original) remain.

Hi Tsilla,
Beautiful modern tower, it's like an old vs new photo. Sharpness and clarity are excellent, the clear weather and the perfect brightness boosts this image. The only problem in my opinion is that it seems a bit tilted from your POV. Otherwise it's fine with good taste of frame. TFS!
Greetings,
Kristof

Good morning Tsilla,
The vertical composition is effective in showcasing the Sail Tower. The image is sharp, the blue sky adorns the scene quite well, and the leaning church is an added 'ooomph' value. Best regards.
Danilo

What a wonderful contrasting shot. Interesting to note that it would have been very difficult if not impossible for each generation to build the tower of the other generation. The expense of craftsmanship on the smaller and the technology on the modern. Both beautiful in different ways. Well seen and good job
warm regards
David
