The picture was taken on a trip to the Negev. I was attracted by the nice afternoon light that set the fleece of the sheep to a glow.
The sheep played an important role in our way to becoming civilized humans. The nonadic life of sheppards was the last form of existence that relied on an aliance with the animals, trying to adapt to nature and not to fight and subdue it. In contrast with it, agriculture is a constant war against nature. This contradiction constitutes one of the roots of the legend of Abel and Cain. |

A patriarchal compo! I like the alternation of light and shades; the background concrete is a bit distracting but a well done photo!

Hi Tibi, lovely composition with sheeps, beautiful colors and great light, have a great 2007, ciao Silvio
Nice shot, I like the horizontal emphasis, and agree with cclaudiu that the concrete in the back is somewhat distracting. But a nice composition and interesting lighting. Maybe I like the photo because of my last name (ha ha).
Cheers!
Hello Tibi,
I like this great note and picture. These lightning and POV are very nice and I like the fact that all the animal seem to look at you :-) Well seen! Thanks,
Claudine

Hi Tibig,
Always so curious these animals! Wherever they may be or whatever they may be doing, they always stop to observe the bypassers.
Nice presentation with good detail and color.
