[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Lizard
This philosopher spends his days in a small terarium at the Eilat Underwater Observatory. I wonder what is he thinking about all the faces that he sees through the window.
Technique
I used the clos-up lens for this portrait. As the light was rather warm, the white balance was less than perfect so I adjusted the curves channel by channel. Then I resized for TL, unsharp-masked just a little bit and added the frame.

Love the colours in this photo. It just jumps out at me. Very nice placement.
Love the DOF, it almost seems like it was pasted over the background. Nice and sharp.

Hello Tibi

I spotted this one in your macro theme.

It's an all round wonderful quality nature photograph, note and link. I laughed aloud when I saw the expression on the 'philosophers' face. I think observatory should use this in their bookletts.

the green age of philosophy, that's the main theme, I guess, for a good meditation session. after that, another color would be good enough, too.

Hi Tibi,

Nice simple composition with little to distract. I like the warm colors and sharpness is acceptable. It could even benefit from a little USM in PP (strength of 100 and radius of 0.3).
