The Wailing Wall.
I liked this photo but it was crooked and I could not crop without loosing the shadow at the right. So I left it crooked. Pasted it on a black background.. I am not 100 % satisfied - so if someone has any thoughts - I would love to learn.

I wanted to frame it so the image would pop..

Nice shot but the shadow of the solder reminds to us the situation down there!

Shalom Yoram!
The fall of Jerusalem of A.D 70, which led to the destruction of the Second Solomon Temple, is such a sad and tragic piece of Jewish history. This photograph, captures the essence of the tragedy of the almost two thousand year diaspora.

I must say that even though the photo may seem odd at first for being crooked, is a great composition in that effect.

The scars, on the wall, may have been caused by weathering and erosion or the Roman army, still personifies the long struggle and the diaspora.

Great photograph, its gone into my favourites! Thanks for sharing Yoram!

Hi Yoram,
this is a very thoughtful image for me. The old jewish man is broken, while the shadow on the wall has a gesture like salutation of nazis. (I know, that was another praying man..., but as a message works like this very expressively).
I like the way you framed and rotated also. Very meaningful work, well done.
Cheers,
Marcie
