We are very much orchid fans. The composition of the orchid and your crop is very good. The central flower is almost central and still makes for a good compo with the wild hairdo. Cropping some of the longer petals is fine in this case. There must be some backlighting involved here as the edges of the flower are very light -- almost white. I am surprised that f/11 gave such a blurred background -- maybe that was your work cloning out the disturbing details part. Well done. TFS. K2

dear Tibi,
surely the wavy shape of these petals is characteristic and impressive, your "extreme Elvis hairdo" is interesting, and in my feeling it looks like "nicely curled or a little rumpled ribbon on the gift"...
anyway, the colors and shape of this orchid are well captured to excellent your image. and the blurred back and your proccessing are very natural for my eyes.
