Mount Tabor (Hebrew: הר תבור‎, Greek: Όρος Θαβώρ) is located in Lower Galilee, at the eastern end of the Jezreel Valley, 17 kilometres (11 mi) west of the Sea of Galilee. It is believed by many to be the site of the Transfiguration of Christ and site for the battle between Barak and the army of Jabin, commanded by Sisera. It is also known as Har Tavor (Hebrew), Itabyrium, Jebel et-Tur (Arabic), and the Mount of Transfiguration.
Two Arab towns are located at its base: Shibli-Umm al-Ghanam (east) and Daburiyya (west) as well as a Jewish community called Kfar Tavor.

Hi, Tsilla. Nice landscape scene with clarity and perspective. The fore, middle and background are all very clear and well composed. the cities ad to the visual impact. The subtle colors transition smoothly and add to the visual delight. Cheers and TFS.

Hi Tsilla,
A fabulous panorama from a very high POV!
Wonderful composition with Mount Tabor dominating and beneath it the two villages.
Nice soft lighting and good sharpness.
I like the inclusion of the tree in the foreground; it gives a good sense of depth.
A neat presentation in a nice frame.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

what an amazing and deep view! :-) the composition and mix of nice white houses and rural areas and green fields with the
emphasis on Har Tavor in the back is great. i have driven through Nazareth and been of course to the Sea of Galilee,
but somehow missed this fine spot - got to remember it for the next visit. well done & take care, thor.

Very interesting shot. I guess when I ve read about the mount of transfiguration Ive always thought of a very high mountain possibly bathed in cloud. This one looks fairly low although they are always higher than they look :-) Nice panoramic view TFS
warm regards
David

Tsilla
Excellent point de vue. Belle composition, très lumineuse. J'aime ces deux "armée" de maisons agglutinées en particulier celles qui semblent vouloir "monter à l'assaut" de la montagne.
Amicalement
JJ
