Hi Alex,
An amazing action shot freezed at the right moment!
A nice splash and a wonderful wave are increasing impact to the lovely composition.
Good lighting with an appropriate POV.
DOF is ample and the sailing boat in the horizon is a bonus to the composition.
Good work.
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Alex..nice shot...well captured in time..nice details...well done.

Hi Alex - sadly the previous critiques aren't actually truthful or useful to you.

The main subject is very definitely out of focus which of course is the basic requirement of any good photograph. At 1/640 I'd suggest it's not motion blur but actually not focused correctly. For these shots do you you use the 'dynamic' focus mode - I'm sure you must have it on the D80. Also set your camera to continuous shooting and you'll end up with a few shots focused sharply.
