Hiding out from the mid-day sun at the moment.
The landscape around Wadi Rum is so beautiful - very starck in contrast to Aqaba. The area is easily recognisable as the settings to various files (Lawrence of Arabia, The Passion of the Christ and Red Planet). The sandstone rock formations are spectacular, as well as a photographers dream - they change colour with the light, looking completely different one minute to the next.
It was only after I had taken the picture that I noticed the two people in the bottom left hand corner - they help to convey the scale of the landscape rather nicely! |

a lot of negative space to balance with the couple looking so small in this great environment
