I never knew the real meaning of fast food until I had been to Kuwait. Yes, this Subway restaurant actually is driving down the road. This small restaurant somehow managed to squeeze in to our convoy as we were leaving our camp in Kuwait heading for Iraq. The thing that made me laugh even more was that I could see the employees inside eating as they were driving. I tried to go through the drive-thru but they said they were closed :0)

What a great perspective on this shot Phil!!
Very funny, at first glance, I was thinking of how the shot and the subway used for transportation could have been compared. I like your idea better! We certainly don't see the local Subway sub shop cruising down the road around here.

Really funny! Here the fast food meaning gets a new dimension, I would try to make a pic when the fast food shop has a motion blur because the speed... But that's just an idea. Good shot, and again good infos :o)

sujet très décalé et amusant dans un contexte pas drôle du tout pour les soldats et globalement pour cette guerrre pénible.

Wow...talk about expanding commercialism whereever they can! I think it is a nice touch though to have something from the states to cheer up the men...even if it is only fast food. :) Great shot taken here with the military jeeps and stuff.

This is a wonderful comic relief and a testement to the power of fast food. Considering they are in a convoy, seems a shame the drive thru was closed. Great photojournalism style.

This is excellent, Phil, so humorous! I like your journalistic photos, about lions too. I am also glad they banned that. :)

really funny shot you got here. =D
at first i thought the Subway was being escorted by the military.
and i thought to myself, is it that dangerous there to have a roving resto escorted? =P
