it is difficult to determine the precise origins of this old castle located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Lebanon, it was found in the area dated to the middle Paleolithic era (100,000-40,000 B.C.), as well as to the Chalcolithic era (4500–3500 B.C.) and the Bronze Age (3500-1200 B.C.). no one knows exactly the real origins til now!
During summer time this place on the beach is crowded with people, and tourists for water sports and beach fun and Pure parties, the best in town! it’s also an attraction for film production companies for historical movies or television series! I personally love this place a lot!
Technically I did some PP work and tried to give it this antique dim mood also cuz I took this shot in Feb, so it’s kinda lonesome now.. and Reminds me of a song by pink Floyd: echoes
but yeyyy summer is just around the corner.. and I can’t wait:)

Wish you all a great Weekend…

Good morning, Suzy!
Wow, this picture seems like one from the history books. The antique effect works great for the composition of old ruins, awsome sepia tones. Nice presentation of your country's rich history. Excellent sharpness and well framed. TFS!
Greetings,
Kristof

Good morning Suzy,

the sky over my town (in this very moment) looks exactly like the sky on your image (without the PP work ahahaha). Interesting place...it has this special mood...a touch of mystery, drama...it is attractive and a little bit scary at the same time.

And the sky...it is wonderful! It looks like a portal to some other world. very 'dramatic' POV...I like a lot this perspective, because it adds up something extra to the whole composition. Very good sharpness and details.

Have a good weekend,

Stasa

Good morning dear Suzy

A most dramatic effect you have produced here. The en face POV and the sepia tones have rendered a diachronic touch to it. The b/w bg has added a sharp contrast which is very attractive to the eyes.

Have a lovely weekend and TFS

HI Suzy
The bit of light enhancing the arches, the ornamental holes above giving us a peep show of this very clouded sky.
Converting to sepia gives the sky a menacing look.
Good shot.

Ciao Suzy,

very original and creative image. Sky looks dramatic and this point of view makes the image even more interesting and special. Splendid light managing and perfect colours for this photo.

Have a nice WE.

Ciao,

P.

Hello Suzy
That sounds to be reall old, right ?
Nice Histirical picture with good note too.
Once I was in Lebanon (1974) We went to a beautiful Cave area, even posseble to go with boat in it, as the water level was not to high or to low (I forgot)
Cant remember the name of that place, but think it was North of Beiruth, wonderful we we had (with Colleaques)
Also that day we went to a rather high mountain, I remember there was a Huge Christ cross on top and a kind of monastery too.
Not to speak about the Casino, haha
Will be nice when you can tell me about it.
Enjoy you last evening of the weekend.!!!
Cheers from Jan

dear Suzy,
the old broken stone building matches the situation with nobody,
you succeed to express this atmosphere of anciant arched castle.
moreover this back B&W sky is amazing, its enhanced contrast suggests us hidden dramatic stories at there.
our modern architectures never bear the long time, people in future will know not late buildings but this more old stone construction...
thank you,
Akihisa
