Good morning Suzy,
this is spectacular shot. Beautiful scenery. Landscape is truly amazing, but what makes this photo so interesting to me is the castle, 'sitting' on the rock like a hawk...observing...protecting...watching. It makes this image really special.
Beautiful colours and POV.
Have a wonderful day,
Stasa

Very good saterday, dear Suzy.
Glad to see such a beautiful landscape picture from Lovely Lebanon. Still have to look at Google Earth where exactly 'Batroun' is located. Not sure if I was there in 1974, when having a country tour.
For a moment I thought you captured this from the Monastry up the mountain, but facing landinwards.
Its a beauful spot, worth to take more pictures from all sides and with different light conditions.
Congratulation with this result.
Have a nice 'Saterday Night' in Town.
Cheers Suz.

Hello Suzy!
The ruins of building on hill, on centre this plain look very curiously.
This very original place which showed very beautifully.
Colours and splendid light.
I congratulate realization and I greet warmly.

dear Suzy,
a wonderful perspective!
an old castle, green grass and trees, cueved roads and rocks make a super-view.
it is lovely scale quite like a miniature landscape garden,
or we see it from birds eye on the air.
thank you,
Akihisa

hi Suzy
I am glad that you have not disappoint me with this wonderful landscape scenery to show the attraction of Lebanon. You found a great spot to have this POV to show the castle with its surrounding green to give a good contrast and highlight to the castle itself, and making good use of the winding roads as a feature to break the green.
Perhaps a small issue of my preference would be to place the castle at off center position although I know you tried to use the roads and river in this composition.
Worth the trip to the church at the mountain top to look down at this scenery, right?
Superb work. Hope to see more from Lebanon.
tfs, bill

Hello Suzy! Wonderful perspective. Dangerous POV. Be careful!!! Excellent ruins. Original shot. Well done!
Bonjour Suzy
I wondered if being in Leban you couldn't understand french; it would have been easier for me.But I don't see any comment you should have written in that way ; so that I go on with english...
Just to say how I like these castles that your shot shows so well from a wonderful point of view.Though it seems smaller it really makes me think of our castles in south of France called "châteaux cathares" which are rather "châteaux du pays cathare" like Peyrepertuse or Queribus .What you say about the location of this castle made me also think to the well known "Krak des Chevaliers" near the fronteer with Syrie, and on the same road.Of course this last is older...
I enjoy very much your shot.

Hi Suzy, I like this as it shows a lot of history. We don't have castles in Australia so it is always a delight to see the ones in Europe. The scale of this fort is well seen with the surrounding included including the modern road. A wonderful series ideal for TE. TFS. Murray.
