Just be still my emerald
I'll be waiting for you
Do exactly what you're told
I'll be waiting for you

Ashamed by the threats
You pierce the embrace
Afraid and alone
In a dark lonely place

Still they don't know who you are
Still never know who you are

Did you always want to be
Did they try to steal your soul
Did they hurt you with deceit
Can't you come in from the cold

Be still my emerald
I'll be waiting for you

(Emerald by The Tea Party)
………………………………………………………………………………………………
Sometimes I wonder about the colors of nature! Naturally beautiful! Naturally defined! Naturally colored! No make up, no fakeness… no big brands, or labels, no jewelries, no exaggeration! Or overstatement!! “What you see is what you get” and the part I enjoy the most is the pure Art of transparency revealed in every mood and every scene! How beautiful it is to be transparent, but how risky it could be sometimes! Is it good or is it bad!??!
………………………………………………………………………………………………

The walls of an ancient monastery back in 300 A.D. in my little town, Monks used to live there, and it’s situated In the middle of a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean sea and the town of Tripoli, now it’s being restored and it’s an attraction for tourists from different religions and nationalities!
Another dear place to my heart and certainly a part of it since childhood!
“I will be displaying more of it from different angles soon!”

Finally, can I just thank you all for being transparent with your C/C … it makes me happy:)

My deepest regards and wishes! :)
Always…

A very strong composition with the sharply rendered walls of the monastery set against the soft, dreamy ocean and sky. That softness reminds me of the effect gained from the use of noise reduction applications. Is that how you got the background so soft? I'm not so sure about the translucent frame - it works well over the sky/ocean but not so well on the left side.

Nice shot with great colors and mood. Just a little thing...I ma not shure for frame,
Regards, Nebojsa.

Hi Suzy,

blue, blue and more blue. My eyes can relax and just observe the beauty of this image. :) maybe this image is blue (sorry, emerald), but the mood in it is everything but 'blue'...I feel freedom, I feel wind, I feel independance...and that makes my heart happy.

Composition and presentation is wonderful. Sky, sea, land...all the natural forces joined in one image to show us...perfection of the Creator (who ever that may be).

Have a nice day dear friend and keep on this emerald mood.

Hi Suzy
Colors of the tropics that ocean seems to call out while the
lookout with its great texture stands stoic immune to the beauty.
Very nicely captured and presented.

Nice simple expression picture, which remind me the picture hanging at the wal on my back, with the ruins of the castle of Richard Lionhearted on it.(Lebanon, Napolion Bay)
The verse you wrote sounds lovely too.

A bientôt

That color is really great and the wall with the see through empty windows an asset to it. An artistic approach to a minor everyday detail. Compliments, my friend

dear Suzy,
I guess there may be some beautiful secrets behind this mysterious combination of the emerald sea, the old stone window and the strange cloudy sky...
this feeling stimulates my imagination to go deep bottom under emerald sea, perhaps there lays very sad story that was really in this stone house and even the sky has been crying from then till now...this emerald color derived from that tears.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Suzy,

Beautiful, moody image. I like the color of the water under that angry sky, the winds whipping the waves to a froth. We are overlooking that scene from an ancient monastery - this gives the sense of depth and of being there. Very nice.

Hello Suzy.
Good looking composition and and very effective view.
I like your idea here.

Hello Suzy,
Your stone walls contrast in sharpness and tones with the view below , i also like the brighter part of the sky which brings some drama in that area of your frame , this is a view that would appear as good with more FG ( like showing a wider view in which we saw some flowers , bushes or whatever was near that stone building ) i would be interested to see one of this if you ever shot one if not perhaps try one , just an idea , of course. Just as Terry mentioned i am not that sure about the frame , nonetheless the view is one to behold and is one i would like to set my eyes on for real! Thanks ,
Carol
