Whoa, that's a great straight-up perspective. Great cloudless blue sky behind ... did you do anything with the sky color, or this is how it was?
Those old structures ... simply amazing!
Thanks for doing the scan so we could see it too:)

POV très original, qui donne beaucoup de perspective à la composition. Super contraste entre le ciel bleu et le gris de la pierre !

Wow looks pretty familiar:) and finely balanced indeed...*Baalbek the city of the Sun*, what a wonderful post! you definitely chose a superb POV, very different from the 1000th photos that I keep seeing about this place all over the net, it takes the eye straight up to the top, the deep clear blue sky, and you managed sharply enough to show that it is in a pretty good shape... outstanding work... nice to know you visited Lebanon:)
compliments and regards David

I love the blue sky in this shot David! Your perspective is dizzying! It does look precariously balanced up there! Nice work!

Hi David,
I feel like lying on the ground, looking upwards to these huge coloumns with the sun shining into my eyes. :) Great POV indeed, clarity and sharpness of the image are excellent, so I guess you did a great PP work after scanning the photo. Beautiful historical photo, TFS!

Hi David, Terrific perspective. This angle really accentuates that the columns reach to the heavens. I am amazed each time I see photos of columns such as this. (The U.S. is still a "baby"... we just don't have "old" things over which to marvel!)
Gorgeous blue sky, nice shadows on some of the columns, and of course, the texture is well represented in your photo.
Three cheers for Lebanon! (I'd like to visit one day).

Hi David
This is a good photograph.A tiny bit bit oe in some spots but how can you not take photos in the sunlight when visiting other countries, time is so short.
The low angle is creative and the columns show interesting details.
Great job on the scanning.

Hi David
Excellent perspective chosen here with first rate colours and details. They indeed look in good shape considering their age. Well done
