I see you are a talent to capture very good images with kids, they are the best models.
The idea and the result to keep the one kid in colors works great.

Put a part of a image in color is still a good way to make a underlined. Although this process which should be used sparingly, it is well used here.

However, perhaps the picture would be even stronger if the color was more saturated.
