İshakpasha Palace

İshakpaşa is indeed more like a complex of buildings adjacent to each other than a palace. It is our second organized palace after İstanbul Topkapı Palace and it is the most famous of all recently constructed palaces.
The palace is last great monumental building of the Ottoman Empire in Tuip Period.Located 5 km east of region,it stands on a hill which is at the foot of mountain. The palace is not only one of the most splendid examples of Ottoman Architecture but it also bears great importance for Art History. The consAtruction of this magnificient monument is,in 1874-Gregroian calender;in 1199-Muslim calender, according to Hareem Room Takkapı inscription.
Because the area on which the palace stands is a valley edge,it is very hard and rocky.Although it is isn the centre of ancient Bayazıt,its three sides(north, west, south)are steep and slopy.Only in the east part there is a plain. And the entrance of the palace is in that part and this is the narrowest side of the palace.
Seljuk architecture is the dominant element in the whole palace. The palace spreads out on an area of 760 sqm.It shows a unitly in itself though it consists of a comlex of buildings. In winters, the palace is heated with a kind of central heating system. It claimed that such kind of was first used in this palace in the world.
The construction of palace was started by Çolak Abdi Pasha and completed by İshak Pasha in 1874.The palace was called by this name ever since.
The palace is marvellous example with is outer and inner achitecture. It is a masterpiece indeed.

Superb architecture, excellent POV. I like the bronze sky and the distant mountains. A scene of 1001 Nights-excepting the modern car...

Kolay gelsin...

HI Hayati,
What an atmosphere you created here - it seems an Arabian Night tale!
Perfect cast on this architecture with a wonderful mountain in the mist at the BG.
Superb framing and presentation.
Great artistic work!
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Hayati,
Great colors and POV. Only thing I would do different is to clone out that house at the bottom of the picture - it is cut in half and a bit distracting. Take that out and for me this would have an "epic" feel to it.
TFS, great work

Bonsoir hAyAti
