| On a recent trip, I visited Gallipoli because of my interest in history. In 1915 there was a signicant battle fought here between invading British forces, primarily ANZAC and defending Turkish forces. The British lost and both sides had thousands of deaths. There are cemetaries and monuments in the area, but I thought this shot of the downtown Gallipoli was most interesting. I may post some of my other shots of the area. |
