[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a view from my room where I lived in Turkey.
When I first saw this, I was quite shocked:
thought it was a fire. But then I started to see it every day… The view is nice but remembering that this is smoke… I think the S of the road nearby helps realize how big the smoke is.

Actually, this is a crop of a much bigger picture
so that only the S of the road and the smoke are seen.

The crop made the picture more abstract,
but I thought that some photoshopping was necessary to emphasize
this abstract feel and at the same time to make some details look more natural.

* The picture was grainy: did some noise removing and blurred some areas with a brush.
* Added more contrast between the mountains
(one of the lines is rather artificial than natural).
* I even adjusted contrast separately for each plane
so that the foreground looks darker than the midground,
and the latter is darker than the furthest range of mountains.
* The smoke got a very unnatural look (as if simpy cut and pasted), so I drew a bit more smoke with a brush and then blurred and smudged it a bit. I think looks more natural now.
* I saturated the sky a bit and then had to blur it cuz noise and jpeg artefacts became more visible.
* To select certain areas I mainly used the pen, not the lasso.
* The frame… I think gradient is OK here.

le S de Smoke est très bien vu; mais ça ne marche qu'en anglais! en français il faudrait un F!...
la fumée bleue serait presque belle et le "abstract feel" est bien réussit; peut être faudrait-il encore amplifier cet effet!

mais le problème des consommations énergétiques et du réchauffement climatique reste posé....

sory for the note in french, too hard to me in english some abstract words and concept... Babalfish cann help!
