Hi John,
these are the seats between blue mosque and aya sofya... :))
today in a magazine it was written that "Only tourists enjoy in old istanbul, but never the people living here"
I am agree with it...
may be I visit those places 3 times in 10 years... :(
but in your pic I can see 3 guys :P enjoying old part of istanbul...
it is an interesting pic for me as well coz I never see such people around me... And for me these people never eat doner kebap :))))
John.. really I like your Istanbul pics... continue the serial...
waiting for it...
thanks much...

John,
Haven eaten Döner Kebab in Tokyo I know this look!!!! :) It's VERY tasty and it was served with pita bread, a salad and some sort of soup that I didn't like. I wondered if it was camel soup! The soda (cola) was VERY expensive! (700 Yen, about $5.75 USD)
This is a very good photo that shows human very expression well. I like this pic and I can see how the recipie is very important.
Well captured! I saw the window display of the Kebab but didn't know how they did it! Thanks for the great notes!
Scott
Hi John,
They have such expression ! Very interesting subject. I would have like to see the face of the man in the middle. If you had move to the left, this would have been possible and moere equilibrate, IMHO. But maybe the BG would have suffer of this ? Very good details and colours though.

Trčs beau portrait de ces 3 hommes ; on est bien dans l'ambiance 'papotage entre hommes' et curieusement ils parlent Kebap ! I love Kebaps with yoghurt sauce !!! Really good POV, bravo !

A very nice shot. And most of all the note.
I love doner kebabs, but those real and proper ones, not those chicken ones you usually get here in Poland. And they say a real kebab, LOL. For me a real one is with a lamb meat, which tastes the best.
First kebab had in Libya, and I loved it, had 11 yrs, and it was pretty spicy, but still enjoyed it.

Super zoom in.
Do not agree with Ivan, the half face adds more questions to the viewer. Good POV! TC

Hi John,
There is great intensity in this image, the man whith his back towards the viewer only emphasises the urgency and interest that his companions are engrossed in. Great stuff.
Best wishes,

Hi John, we have one city back in Western Asutralia where there is a mall and many Europeans gather and spend their mornings drinking coffee and chatting. The Greeks are easily recognized by their clothing. You did well here, I like the composition and the colours and detail are strong. TFS,

A great photo of these Turkish men John! When I was there, 1964, we were not suppose to eat the local food, but we would get bread from a bakery then shish kabob, lamb on a skewer, from a street vender along with lettuce & tomato for a great sandwich. TFS your photo Don

Fantastic moment, merhaba John,
I like to see how they discuss, the doubtfully face of the one man, the friendly one of the other - it seems I can hear them talking - but of course I don't understand them, I can't speak turkish ;-)
Wonderful, thanks and cok selamlar

The capture of expression is awesome, an interesting moment has been captured from life. Commentray note is useful to understand the perspective. Döner kebab is widely available in Spain, but quality and cost varies.
Many thanks for sharing a moment from daily life of Turkey.

Hi John! Great character portraits, candid shot conversation....Food is important everywhere, not just in Turkey! Now that summer is finally here, and Christan bought me a (Australian style)gas BBQ, there will be lots of outdoor cooking, and your kebab recipe will come in handy!
