it is wonderful to see new image in your gallery. And you are back with a striking composition. :) The photo is truly unique in colours, but that only gives it a certain mood - almost as though it was taken in B/W.

It is also perfectly framed...seems like a scene taken from some movie. Excellent.

I actually like the workshop version better - it has more activity and more of those horizontal, contrasting lines. This is a great shot, too! The framing adds to it greatly, I think.

dear Liliana Mihailovici,
my first impression is what is there over gray flat back wall(sky)...
the light and the silhouette look playing on the sea very joyfully and illusionarily, but this gray wall is so melancholic like monolith in Space Odyssey...
and your title "Stranded" is very strange to this image, what strands on this shore...
in my feeling, the answer is the time itself, maybe it strands on this light/shadow shore, also it realizes itself as this monolith wall.
as other your shots, darkness looks being main motive in this picture, the time is always playing seek and hide with the dark.

This shot must evoke memories in most of us - the twinkling light on the sea, the distant silhouetted figures are certainly romantic images!

I have been a bit lazy lately with my comments... I like to have the time to look at a picture before saying something, so when I don't have the time... I don't write =)
I love silhouettes and light shimmering on water, I think it's because it always reminds me of my childhood, the late afternoons spent on the beach, trying to stay as late as possible before going home...
your photo really has the flavour of memory for me - especially the b/w version, because my childhood is one of photos and movies in b/w =)
