the turkish name of this game is 'aç kapıyı bezirganbaşı' but I would love to hear it's name in the other languages if u know about it.
in this game there is a short song which is singing loudly by the group of the children playing while two of them hold hand in hand high and the others passing between them.the one who comes across the end of the song is arrested by the guards and punished :-)
january 24 ,2006: I am chancing the title 'WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE GAME? ' with 'LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN' ;I think amy jordan (persimon) remembered the right name and I still wonder if the melody is the same or not?

Hi Nejat
I like the innocence in this shot. This game is probably an international game played all over the world by all children for many centuries. Your story and photo bring back memories of those innocent childhood days, and I sometimes wonder at what we have lost in the process of "growing up".

Hi nejat

A good daily life scene of the children at play. Well cropped & framed, with bright, attractive, colors. Congratulations!

nejat,
nice shot of the children playing. we have something similar to this game in india too, but i just don't remember the song or the name of the game.
good color and pov.

Nice shot Nejat,
Children playing happily, loads of colours and a very well captured moment.
It's indeed a pretty and candid scene.
Well done!!!

take care, Stef :))

It looks like 'London Bridge is Falling Down'. I remember the game from childhood. The song went:
London Bridge is falling down
Falling down
Falling down
London Bridge is falling down
My fair lady.

Take the key and lock her up
Lock her up
Lock her up
Take the key and lock her up
My fair lady.

We would sind the second verse when someone was captured.

I like this candid scene of the children playing. Your framing is excellent.

great shot with an original frame:)

the name in Romanian is "podul de piatra s-a daramat" "the bridge of stone is falled down" - and now I see in english it's the same game:)

you know, at the partys the adults like to play it too lol

Very good and nice composition and presentation., Nejat.
Ther's many contrasts in this snapshot. And the skye behind add an other atmosphere. I like very much your photo. I can hear the little girls singing.
Congratulations.

JN.

Hi Nejat...
This one is obviously universal! Action & mood nicely captured, I like to see the expression of the girl in the danger zone! pleasant composition and vivid colours...
Regards,
Pablo -

Great shot, children are always a great subject. Nice composition and vivid colors. I like the creative presentation.

Hello Nejat, this photo of the kids playing reminds me of my childhood. We were playing the same but I cannot remember the name of it.

You captured them well, good space between the kids and the sides. And your sky is dramatic!

Very well done. Take care, Yan :)

Nejat, good composition here - and warm intensive colours to match the subject!

I don't want to get spanked by my friend Anca (dada) 'cos i must tell i never played this game and sing "Podul de piatra s-a daramat/A venit apa si l-a luat/Vom face altul pe rau in jos/Altul mai trainic si mai frumos" :) i know the song and sing it everyday wit hmy daughter but I, from my little chilhood when i never knew about foreign languages, played the game and sang this, like in French:
"Le metro, le metro, le metro qui passe/
le metro, le metro, le metro passe/
Voila, voila, voila metro qui passe/
voila, voila, voila metro passe"
Only we interfered with languages as the children's folklore always do and established it like this: "Voila, voila mi-a luat perechea mea...."("Voila voila he took my pair") :)))))))) - as we played it in pairs and the last child didn't have a pair so he/she stealed one. :))))))
Another rectification: it's true we play it at parties, but that's only 'cos we're crrrrazzzzzzyyyy adults!!!!!! :)))))) (on Abba and BoneyM songs, of course....)

Bebe ;)

Very nice photo of these little girls playing. In fact I'm singing while looking at it. great colors. TFS
Luc

aww, great childhood moment. I like the colours in this, and that sky too, and the wide angleness. It's so cute how they step out of your frame. I rememmber it is london bridge as well, and the tune quite similar to Mary had a little lamb (if you know that one)

Hi Nejat,
nice photo moving me back in time when I was a kid. Nicely shown how the kids are strongly involved in the game. Nice colours. The photo gives impression of a collage (I am not speaking of the feet on the bottom frame - just the whole photo). Very well seen! tfs
