[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These types of pavements are called "Arnavut Kaldırımı" (Albanian Pavement) and very common in Istanbul. They represent the Ottoman days. In the old times all pavements were like this. They are made by tiling of really heavy granit blocks together. Unfortunately, they are being replaced by modern pavements and therefore being extinct nowadays. I am fortunate to still live on the street with original pavements as seen in the photo.

This was a 400 ISO night shot with tripod. I made it look a bit soft and blurry. Try to look from a bit distance to get the real 3D feeling.

Interesting image here Alp. The values of the black and white work well. It seems to me that it needs something in the foreground to give the photo some scale. Very moody neverthless.

Çok güzel bir etki yaratmışsın Alp,
Arnavut kaldırımlarında yakamozlar oluşmuş :)
Tebrikler.
