[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Ophyris mammosa (Orchid) from Orchidaceae family. Very common in Turkish and Persian flora. Have you ever heard about salep? Salep is a oriental drink made with orchid tubers' powder, starch, sugar and milk. It is a delicious hot drink and heats you in cold winter days.

Nowadays this specieses are under a seriuos threat: Their sorts get be annihilated! Why? For only 1-2 grams salep powder. But as you see, this is a very beuteful plant and a part of riches our world.

In the school years our botany Proffesor Necmettin Zeybek told us that this plant needs 25 years to grow up from seed to blossom. Do you imagine? 25 years! Is whortwile, for a bit salep powder, to destroy?
