Halil Mutlu is a triple Olympic Gold medalist. He stands 4 feet 11 inches and weighs just 56kg. He lives in a hotel in Ankara where he basically trains, eats and sleeps . . . . every day. He doesn't go out much. He says that he doesn't like to be recognized in public places.Turkish weighlifters are true sports heroes in their country. He hopes to compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Great point of view... Makes the weights look very heavy. I wonder if he made it.

I also like the light in the picture, very nice!

A very well composed photo David! You can really sense how this small man has to conquer the enormous weight in fron of him. The strength of mind and body to achieve what he wants.

Very dramatic shot, David. We don't often reflect on the sacrifices that sports champions must make - we just see the glory (and sometimes money). I would not want to trade places with him. Well seen and good note.
