Thank you for reminding us that this time of year is also a difficult one for people who live in more difficult circumstances.
The pattern of footsteps in the snow close to the woman tell a story too

Bravo Zana, this is an absolute favorit. An heartbreaking street scene, realite triste. The puzzled look in the eyes of pedestrians (compassionate but helpless), the pile of snow on her shoulder, the stick on cold snow hinting her age and sickness ... all details fitted to capture every atom of emotion. Great shot of human interest and suffering. Bravo, again and again!

Wow ... a touching and poignant photograph. Sure, the snow offers an opportunity but it's not one that anybody would relish taking.

That's a great shot, Zana! It's very poignant, gets right to the point--fast. Good dof and pov. In this case, since it's not portraiture, I like the centering which nails it and takes all the attention.

Cruel indeed. I put my feelings to workshop version. Very good moment capture.
