Pure Power
Every time the Norwegian Jewel went to the pier one off those Power machines was waiting, only to observe if anything went wrong. The Jewel could managed it by its oven so help was not needed, but they stayed nearby as long as the Jewel was maneuvering, as son as we was close to the pier, they went away.
They were waiting from distance, so this shot is taken whit 300 mm and it is taken while we was approaching the pier in Izmir in Turkey
Thanks for taking a look.

Hello Jens.
Good shot from distance of thiat tuck boat. Yes, strong they are. Remember the time, our Platform, the Beryl Alpha was tucked out of the Stavanger fjord to its location on the North sea. 7 very strong powered boats where dragging it out and to lacation.
It was worldwide on TV (1975).
Cheers, Jan

Hello Jens,
Very nice shot of the tug-boat.
Sharpness, clarity and exposure are excellent while details, reflection and color contrast are wonderful.
Personally would have placed the boat a little more of centre with some more space, in front of the boat, on the right or some less space, behind the boat, on the left side.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Harry

Jens a good placement of boat. Good light. The water around the boat looks great here.
John

Hi Jens,

Yes, it's very powerful boat. Sometime they gathered to guide a troubled big ship. You captured with great detail and very sharp. Nicely composed.

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Hej Jens! Flot billede, klart. Rene og klare farver. Great POV. Var det virkelig et krydstogtskib..

Hi Jens, I like the placement too, is the boat leaving the frame or entering the frame? Good colour and detail. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘The sun does shine Pablo’

Hi Jens. Tugs have a strange appeal and this is a good example. Nice and sharp with good colours. Maybe cropping to leave more space at the bow rather than stern is something to consider in the future. TFS. Murray.

I found this posting interesting because we are going to cruise on one of the Norwegian line ships in October. This will be our first cruise.
Great reflection, compositions and DOF - Congratulations!

Dan

Hi Jens,
Very nice shot, great colors and sharpness, informative note. Maybe the blue frame's too much, but it's personal. Tfs, best wishes, László
