(a series of photos showing the alternative lodging of a man who decided to live inside a cave) => next photo : => the next corner...
He owns a small hotel (pension) in Goreme and could live comfortably "downtown" but his little corner of paradise is here, a cave room on top of his fields ; after having worked hard in Germany as an electrician, he enjoys every minute of his retirement and tells me that he is happy on his own, far from the noise and the gossips of the village, about one km away. His son is in charge of the hotel, helped by his wife who does not like this kind of spartan life and needs her neighbours in the village...

(I've yet to answer to your last critiques, I'll do it the next days ; the reason of the "no ratings please" = as I wrote in my last post and in my intro : for the time being, I'd prefer to get non rated critiques or comments, as I'm not able to visit very regularly this fine site - please don't waste your precious "smileys" with me, but of course I'll be very happy to read all your reactions, positive or negative (and I'll answer once in a while - sorry if I'm late in my answers !) Thanks for your visit... |

I'm happy to rate this, I'm not here for the points ;-)
Great PoV and pose, a very expressive photo. I like the very domestic nature of the scene.
Cheers, John.
