Turkish people call Sultanahmet Mosque. It is called "Blue Mosque" in English. When you enter to the mosque's complex there is a big courtyard. When you just stand there you feel yourself very little instead of the mousque building and whole complex. It's an incredible feeling. Blue Mosque is extremly beautiful. And if there is a prayer time, if "Ezan", prayer calling just started you just sit somewhere inside or outside, environment takes you to out of place and time.
Blue mosque is the one of the my favorite places in Istanbul. I will add more photos from there... |

This is an interesting POV with the spire in the background. My husband raves about the Blue Mosque and has visited it several times. Someday I hope to see it!
