[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
He's a friend of mine,a French boy living in my town,Laurent Consul but everyone calls him Malou. This picture was taken at a weekend picnic,a good atmosphere nearby a small river and a watermill;in the heart of a green valley.
In Turkey it is like a tradition to go for a picnic outside the city. There, people discharge their electricity to the ground by walking barefoot;one of the most necessary things there is grilling some lamb/chicken meat on fire and drinkin' some alcohol Turkish Raki&Wine&Beer or Tea 4 the others.
It is very nice all the day but people should leave the place as they've founded (every year lots of acres of forests are accidentally burned for this reason, what a pity),both for the fire and the trash.
Malou is Seyda's husband and Hatice's son-in-law.
I put the original picture as a workshop, the colored version.

I like so much the strong contrast and his relaxed attitude,it's strange that darkness in contrast with your note about the picnic.
Well done.

Nejat, lovely PP work. I like the posterisation of the two colours (either black, black or white, white)

Wow, Nejat, going experimental? In spite of the duotone work, I've still got a feeling of summer and freedom for his expression... and the hat ;-) The eye-to-lens-contact is amazing as usual. And, according to Fernando, me too does like the presented one better than the colour version ;-) TFS.

Hi Nejat!
Superb PP..
Very good effect..
I like a lot this portrait.
Alex

HI Nejat,

wow! great work, Nejat, I'm loving it! he has a very interesting expression in his eyes, something very out of time, so the pp treatment is a very good choice (if you would chosen bw or sepia it wasn't the same, it woulded be a redundance:)

Hello Nejat! We sometimes forget the power of a black and white photograph! The shadows and contrast are so strikingly beautiful in this one. Marvellous portrait of a very handsome young man! Well done! Thank you, Linda
