[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo shows the amazing view of the creek from Osama Shaar's balcony at Radisson SAS, Dubai Deira Creek, during the nightly fireworks display for the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) & the yuletide season.

Pp: Actually, this picture is a collage of 3 photos. I just layered and rearranged the fireworks, erased, masked, & used gradients to diminish the white smoke from each firework to blend into the stark black background.
No tripod, as always, just a super duper steady hand & a spreadeagle biped stance.

Nice capture, Alfred, but I think the composition could be improved a bit. I think you took a little too much details instead of focusing on the nice firework. I have attempted a quick workshop and I hope you won't mind as this is just my vision for your picture. The colours are quite nice. Well done!

Steady hand indeed. I have nevesr used a tripod myself, thus my night photography is not the best. But, hey I'm 62, but I still push or live on the edge. I hate following rules, like you I just shoot auto, no time or afraid to miss something. check out www.pbase.com/ckuhn55
