Good work, excellent work with the light - it allows a very good balance of exposure, and the highlights on your neck and chest here are very good.

Good pose, expression, mood. I think it's a shame that the top of your head was cropped, but it's not really a big deal.

The only shot you can publish ... let me guess, the robe didn't feature in all of your shots??

Someone told me self portraits tend to depict the model/ photographer the way they like to see themselves...
Light management is good, fair details also in the shady parts!

Hi Freddie, like the pose and the light, those Venetian masks are gorgeous, some people are just ignorant about more worldly finesses.I agree with fumaretue about the bg though.
There is nothing upsetting about your image, the family viewing is intact, you always encounter bigots, c'est la vie... thanx, M, (*_*)

I like the dark tone of the robe against the light courtains. The frame looks perfect, specially with part of your arm placed in front of it. Great composition and colors. TFS

The " pose " works well for me.
The combinatie curtain - robe could be better : they don't match ( for my taste )
I think I would perfer a bit more light on the mask. " think " because I must compare.
Very creative.

NOw that I am allowed to use my hands again, I simply HAD to come back to this photo that I saw a few days ago (and could not comment on!)
I love the mood, the colours, the lighting, the composition and I must say that it is remarkably fine for a self portrait.

Hello Freddie,

Great portrait. The lighting is very good here and your pose is good creating a nice mood to the shot. My only criticism would be that the curtain behind you beign open has made a bright area that does catch my eye a little. Very nice work!

Freddie my jaw practically dropped when I saw this. You look like a hottie! Haha! Like Rew said I think the window lighting softly hitting the chest is really beautiful and adds a dynamic quality to the shot. There is a nice introverted and mature touch with the pose, the downcast position of the head, and the tight vertical framing to focus on you. Good frame that picks up on the blacks and gold browns of the shot. I only wish it was a little sharper or less blurred at the bottom right corner (with a slower shutter speed like that it's hard to keep the camera from picking up any little movement you make). Really sensual and stunning, and that mask is awesome! TFS! Oh, and don't mind the bitter little comments made by angry little bumpkins ;)

Hi Freddie,
This photo could be fantastic... in my opinion and taste. For me I would like a closer look in the face and chest because the mask looks good on the face creating a great "side nose"; no robe at all (just kidding but there is too much pattern in robe and mask together). Good light but bad curtains (more pattern...). I like the arm pose and the frame. You would be offended if I say that you remind me a little a gigolo?
In spite of the excess of patterns(!!!) I think you deserve a :D
