Hi,
Nice fish (good pan size) I used to fish in the persian gulf off the coast of Bahrain, unfortunatly there are few fish left due to the greedy government /royal family destroying the habitat to build Palaces and executive housing etc on landfill! Sorry did'nt mean to go on a rant nice pic.

I am not a fisherman . So I must admit i do prefer Winnie as the catch of the day . Memorable moment . She does not seem comfortable holding that catch!
The beauty in travelling is meeting people. These days , it is also extended to communicating live with people all around the world at the same time.
Perhaps the world could become much more peaceful in a near future. Keep on Trekking !

Hi Freddie, this is a nice Gulf catfish, they fight like hell but are not brillant to eat. Hamour, Channad, Sharie and Dwailmi (small barracuda about 750mm to 1 metre long) are among the best eating in the Gulf. Here in Bahrain the fishing is deteriorating fue to excessive land reclamation from the sea which messes up tidal flows and destroys the breeding grounds for the small species that form the lower end of the food chain.
