Hehe! Nice parody. And kind of appropriate, given that Platoon was filmed on Luzon in 1986 ... which was a big year for Filipinos, di ba? ;)

I love the substitution of a camera for Elias' gun.

Hello there,

I just love it!
It's great shot. Marvelous idea here, so it looks to me as if it was a spontaneous shot.
Lucky with the sun, smoke and the background, which all made it look like the front cover of a Platoon movie poster.

And just when I saw the thumb on TL I just knew what it was - even though I don't recall the movie itself pretty much, but the movie poster is very familiar and well known to most.

Thought of creating a small WS for fun.
Enjoy it.

This is a great shot, Jowel, with light from above, more of a spiritual thing. I like the way you composed it, even with subject in center, and fronting camera.

Good choice of smoke for this effect, it shows well at 1st sight. The light and shadow play gives a good contrast for this photo to bring out its attraction.
