nice composition.
the blank space on left with blurred effect has given boost to the composition. plus 10.

Hello Mae,
Though Diane seems quite aware of the presence of your lens (could it be she looks a little tense?), I do like this portrait.
First of all because, in spite of the slight impression of tension, Diane looks very distinguished. Her pose conveys elegance and solemnity.
Secondly, because the setting (especially the background colours) fits with that solemnity.
In other words: this portrait looks coherent.
I also like the depth of field in your picture.
The only thing that bothers me a bit, is the bright spot that is visible next to her right eye (on the left for us). Maby it is part of the background, but it looks like some kind of lens reflexion or like a spot of dust on your lens. Perhaps you could have cloned it out.
Anyway, nice work!
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

She looks a little uncomfortable in the line of your camera, but has done a brave job putting on a smile.
Your composition is good and you overcame several challenges to get this; the slow shutter hasn't been a problem, and Diane's glasses, the frames of which threatened to obscure her eyes too much, are just enough out of the way.
Still don't like that signature bottom-left, it could come across as a little mayabang ...
One thought when catching a portrait like this; once you have lined her up in the viewfinder, rather than doing something to increase tension like counting 1 - 2 - 3 - (some people do, I'm sure you don't!) - try making a joke or a comment that puts the subject off guard. You will often get that momentary relaxing of their face, a genuine smile, and can grab the shot.
