[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is the main outcome after i've been playing with potatoes and broccolis. :P

prepared by my loving chef and girlfriend, the salmon steak was marinated with teriyaki sauce, glazed with butter and showered with lemon and pepper powder; mashed potato and steamed veggies on the side.

the setup is the same as "broccoli sunset" but without the colored gels.

now i'm hungry again...

Hello, Jeff -
Great work - food shots can be very difficult to get right. Nice shallow DOF with sharp focus on the steak; it's contours and textures are shown well with this gentle lighting producing nice wet highlights. The blurred side dishes provide a nice background "landscape" for the main dish. I like your choice to leave some dark space above the plate. Well done.

Now I'm hungry too Jeff!! Looks delicious.
You did a great job with this. Love the use of shallow DOF ... great detail on the salmon in the foreground, glistening with melting butter ... yummm! Great shot Jeff.

Excellent food image! I try and try with food images and just can't seem to get it right but you have done a superb job. The narrow depth of filed really isolates my eyes on the salmon steak and shows off the details and texture. The black background and small strip of white plate also frame the food very well. TFS

kakagutom eh! good texture and soft lightings bro.well captured.
