things you need:
DSLR or Point & Shoot will do
Tripod
Flash (optional)
first step: take a shot of urself or ur model as many as you want (the more the harder hehehe)
remember not to moved ur tripod on its position
then use Photoshop or any desired editing software
and tada!!!

Nice work, I've been planning to do one of these shots myself, haven't got around to it yet though.

Did you use the auto settings on the camera, or set manual to ensure each photo had the same exposure?

dear Lysander,
very interesting and humorous picture of your nice experimental work,
three persons are well composed and make cheerful step-like perspective.
in my feeling, maybe it is better that the right standing man's elbow is before the central man's shoulder...
