Dabkeh

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The folks at the Umayyad Palace Restaurant were celebrating a visit from an old friend and one of the ways to celebrate is to perform the regional folkdance called "dabkeh." Arms and hands are tightly linked and the line grows as more people jump in and clasp a hand, and everyone carefully matches steps: step, tap, stamp, stamp until the ground vibrates. The musicians play faster and the feet begin to fly. |

Very nice picture Silke
I really like the way the deep blue comes out in the image, it looks great.
Thanks for sharing it
Nice capture, Silke, with lots of movement. There are a few flaws though. There seems to be a line through the picture on the left over the leg of the guy in the back (not certain where it came from) and there seems to be a lack of sharpness. I have done a quick workshop to show you a different vision and I hope you won't mind. Very interesting daily life shot and interesting composition. Well done!

Hallo Silke,
das ist ein Bild welches von Volkstanzen spricht,
ich kann mir es vorstellen wie der ganze Saal vibriert.
Es gefällt mir sehr und es erzählt wieder was von Deiner Heimat.
Liebe Grüße
Eva

Hi it is very interesting for me to see some photos from this country we so close to each other do not like each other the common thing is the jeans LEVIS
greeting Shimon
Funny! It's not the style you show the most often... Art is more present in your last... But to see simple dance party like a souvenir is nice too!
It's honnest in the colors and we recognize the style... So i imagine easily the music who go with it!
Hello Silke,
Ahhhh blue jeans, the international trademark! Somehow I'm still surprised to see them in foreign countries -- showing my age!
I wonder what would have happened if you had sharpened this image a bit?
I've done a little of the folk dancing in Golden Gate Park. It can be great fun!
