[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lovely hot sweet tea, with a couple of fresh mint leaves floating in it! In Damascus, a glass of tea begins the day; it is served at every possible moment throughout the day; and, as here, it ends the day. When you (whether foreign visitor or personal friend) enter almost any shop (except perhaps one selling tea), you will be offered a glass. One of my private students used to phone me to let me know he was ready for his lesson (given in his office a block from my home), by saying "the tea is ready."
A former U.S. ambassador to Damascus once observed that "the only thing that would delay the Turks in an invasion of Syria would be the need to stop and drink tea."

Hi Silke! A sweet doting image, well captured with good framing of the subjects in the picture. There's a dark patch of burn at the top right part. It would still be a good picture if you crop out this part if you can't blend it in with the rest of the image.
