I love the colors of the flower in this picture. This is a unique looking flower, I dont think I have one like this before. Anyway I like the detail, composition and the low POV. Very nice work. A nice post for Linda and all the other families dealing with the hurricane.

p.s. I planted a passion flower this year, down the side of the barn. It has been blown, buffeted and drowned but, surprisingly is still alive. No flowers this year, sadly, but I can hope.

A superb image Silke and what a novel way of growing them. Beautiful colours and just enough sharpness. I have one vine which grows over a disused hothouse, the only flowers I get are right at the top and well out of reach,

Hi Silke, I'm glad you saved this one too. It is so bright and cheerful with the greens and purples. One just smiles looking at it. The flowers look like they are about to pop out of the screen.

Nice choice of frame too. The black really highlights the colors nicely.

Very nice composition, the diagonal layout of the flowers is especially eye catching. The lavender against the green leaves and the rust red pot is also a nice combination.
I lke the stark white, and soft focus, BG as well.
Nice shot, nice sentiments; my heart goes out to all affected by Ike.

Hi Silke, A lovely thought for Linda, our thoughts are with those who have experienced Ike.. my step daughter lives in Houston...lucky she was sent out of town on work just days before..we are yet to hear how her apartment survived.

I nice composition here, I like the way the three flowers flow through the photo, great colours and sharpness, makes this a very pleasing image.

Crystal clear image ( great to have increase to 300kb the maximum file size).These flowers are quite spectacular. Perfect POV for suchc shot . Cool idea to crop the zone above the edge of the pot.

Beautiful passion flower here. I use to have a passion flower vine on my front porch but got frustrated because they only live one day and then the bloom fall to the ground :( hahahaha
