[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Using photoshop filters (coloured pencil) I added some emotional turmoil to this picturesque abandoned factory
in the manner of Oscar Kokotschka the great expressionist Austrian painter.

Hello Janos,
I do like the scenery you captured here, because of its photographic potential. Abandoned buildings often are inspiring.
Point of view is good, giving space to the smoke stack, but in my opinion, your post-processing quite ruined the whole picture.
I honestly fail to see what the coloured pencil filter adds to your photo, except for what I would dare to call "visual" turmoil.
I think that if you want to express the "emotional" turmoil that surely IS present here, the place as such and its decay already suffice. Just a highly contrasted black & white treatment (with enhanced dark tones, for example) would have been enough. I had a look at some of Oscar Kokotschka's paintings, but my conclusion would be that Photoshop still has a lot to learn from that great painter ;o).
Of course, this is only my personal opinion. Feel free to (dis)agree ;o).
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

As a painter, I love this effect, reminds me of wartime impressionism / expressionism. I'm inspired to break out the paints. Thank you for sharing.
