Hi David,

Beautiful macro, with nice details. The central placement works well and the frame suits the composition.

I don't know how many shots you took of the flower, but I would try a couple with smaller aperture settings. There is a bit of softness near the upper center of the flower (I'm not sure what the protruding orangish-colored things are called, stamen?). DOF is quite challenging in macro work, IMHO.

Nicely done.
The exposure was well handled considering the bright sun. I might have tried a little more DOF by shooting at F8 to get the top of the centre in focus.
