| I would like to use this shot to wish all the Trekkers a very Happy Holiday season! This particular "Christmas cactus" loves to be placed in the middle of my lilac bushes in the summer. After I remove the many critters that nestle underneath the leaves, I bring it in in September and it blooms beautifully in November. An early gift when we need a little colour in our lives. No flash, indoor shot. Merry Christmas and many thanks to all who have visited with me this year! |

What a wonderful macro! Perfect balance of colours, correct contrast and quite fine sharpness. Just a tiny note: Because of the specific bud's shape, its base (seen right in the photo, with the pedals pointing rightwards) is slightly out of focus. Consider, if possible, taking a shot where the entire bud is at the same distance (vertical to the camera) so that the entire bud is in focus.
But overall, a great photo. Well done, good job!
Hi Linda.
Very beautiful flower, very nice capture here.
Lovely colours and great depth of field.
Thanks for sharing, best wishes.
Yasin.
And a Merry Christmas to you too!
