[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken while drivng by the day after a tornado tore across Durham on August 20/09, flattening buildings, tearing the roofs off homes and cracking mature trees like matchsticks.
Some 70,000 homes lost power.

The hardest-hit parts of Durham were the conservation park, some nearby homes on County Road 4, and an industrial area in the town’s south end, where some buildings were flattened while others, right next door, were untouched.

Hi Jan, we have a Durham not far from where we live, thankfully we had no tornado! Hope no loss of life. Good shot of the damage, clear and good PoV with nice colours. TFS
