Located at the entry of the National Forillon Park, Cap-Des-Rosiers village is especially known for its lighthouse. Built in 1858, it is the higher lighthouse in Canada. Its single architecture done of it one of the most beautiful specimens of the maritime gaspésian heritage.

It was witness of many adventures at sea. Before its construction, in 1847, Carrik was surprised by a storm in the St-Laurent gulf. Built in Workington in England, the boat left Slico, in Ireland, in February of the same year. 187 Irish immigrants, fleeing their fatherland affected by the famine, perished in the shipwreck. Several shipwrecked men who survived then decided to be established on the ground where they were saved.

PP work:

-Adjustment of perspective (lighthouse)
-Adjustment level
-Applied Luko's technique except for the sky
-Resized and framed

I hope you will like this another view of my area. Thank you for your visit and comment. A nice week at all!

Bravo!

Great POV, Annie and superb composition -- I loike the way your main subject is balanced against the secondary one. Lovely colours and excellent notes too.

Bonjour Annie! Merci! Michel

Good job on a classic shot Annie. The splash of red colour on the roof is well placed in the frame. Looks like a beautiful day.

Joe

hi! annie
very peaceful place... great shot... nice work
thanks for sharing (",)

Hi Annie.
Very good composition with perspective.
I like it this point of view and angle, well done.
Thanks for sharing, have a great week.

Yasin.

Bonour Annie,
Une belle photo
The fence and bench lines pointing to the house and give the total a good perspective. The low POV makes the lighthouse bigger. Again a good natural color balance in a professional looking picture. I only know two people on TL that give me that feeling of a well nursed landscape. That is you and Constantinos.
Ruud

There is nothing to say about this photo. excellent. and a nice beginning to week for me. Thanks.

Annie a photo school example in photo art! The lead-in line right below is good.. the lighthouse / phare..The ocean just coming out over the grass and the sky.. all so very balanced and in harmony. Tres tres bien..
Salut et a bientot ..
John

Hello Annie,

Excellent POV taking in the height of the lighthouse itself and the surrounds. Lovely colours especially that splash of red. All topped off by that beautiful Canadian sky. TFS,
David

Salut Annie,

Terrific photo!! Well-composed and colorful. The light is very nice. Looks like a beautiful place. Nice work!!

Beautiful capture, with a very well thought composition, excellent perspective and sharpness. All elements are placed wisely and the low level POV is impressive.

Hello again Annie.
Just had to comment on this photo.
Great POV and lovely detail. Nice the way the bench and the fence lead the eyes to the cottage.
I also find your notes are great. I some times wish that we could have another category - excellent. You and Refugee (David) are two people who provide great notes.
TFS. keep up the good work.
Kind regards,
Robert

Hi Annie,

I love it! The height of the lighthouse and the lead in lines from the fence on the opposite side of the shot here make for a great photo! Plenty to see, and the dash of bright colour on the building roof really enhances the shot. Very nice indeed! Good work.

John

Postcard perfect scene you have captured here Annie. The red roof is quite contrasting in the scene and added an oommph to an already beautiful image. The details are great and your POV.

Hey Annie

This is a beautiful landscape..
very clear too

Hello Annie,
Old lighthouses are quite fascinating structures!
The architecture, location, history; everything is interesting and now they are history themselves as important operational parts of shipping...
This is a fine composition with good lines, and the light renders fine colours this beautiful day!
Greetings,
Pablo -
