Two of my friends and I were going on a little trek to photograph birds in the Montmorency forest near Quebec city, as they passed that wooden bridge I couldn't resist taking a shot at them.

Hi Mario,
An excellent photo with great snow texture and composition. BTW, I noticed in your note that you did USM first and then got it resized. Is it the actual sequence? As I know, we'd better resize the picture first and then USM. Otherwise we cannot get the result with idea sharpness. Just for your reference.

J'aime beaucoup ce paysage d'hiver avec les marcheurs sur le ponceau. Très belle composition. Les textures de la neige sont palpables et il y a beaucoup de netteté dans les détails des branches d'arbres. Bravo ! Annie

very nice it's too cold...
I have several shot from winter but all of trees in my picturer are not green. I agree with Antony after resize we lost sharpness. I use smart sharp in photoshop CS2 before resizing and after that for this size, I usually use USM with redius 0.5 or 0.7 and amount 30 or 40 with thershold 0. it's depond on your picture.
I think B&W of this picture should be nice.

Ta composition est très dynamique: le regard suit vraiment ce chemin pour tomber sur tes deux amis, ensuite seulement on s'intéresse à tous les autres détails de la photo.
Bref, une excellente photo!

Ce sentier semble très beau et ce petit pont a un très beau cachet. Très bien réussi avec ces arbres remplis de neige.
