I zoomed in to avoid the zebras legs that were behind her and noticed the tooth.

She just stayed sprawled on the ground staring at the broken tooth. I went around the whole African compound which took about 1 hour and returned to see if she had moved. No she was still there staring as if in a hypnotic stage, finally the male who stood by her side poked her flanks, she slowly got up and gracelly trotted out after him.

When trying to upload TL refused the 300kbs so I resized and therefore lost the exiff but was able to get it from the original.

Hi Dot,
very interesting composition, interesting story! The mood of the rhino and her positioning are something that attracted me at first. Great work!

Have a nice WE.

Bonsoir Dot,
compliments
Michel

Hi Dot,

This is a very sad looking rhino lying there wishing she hadn't broken a tooth, which I must say is looks about the size of my small finger. By zooming in I think you have added to the over all feeling of despair the shot seems to convey. The details are great a nice pov and good shades and tones well done.

Regards
Jon

Hi Dot,
A perfect sharp picture of this rhino. The skin wrinkles are excellent exposed brightnbess and contrast are spot on. A fine posting Dot, funny title too :-)
Hans

Hi Dot,

A superb close-up of the rhino with excellent details and framing. The poor thing probably needs to see a dentist, so I can sympathize with her melancholy look.

Warm regards,
Werner

Bonjour Dot,

And I am not the one who will pull his bad tooth. Nice shot with a soft light. We can see a lot of texture in its skin. Good sharpness and exposure. Tight croping is a good choice. Nice work and TFS.

Bonjour Dot,
Même sous son épaisse cuirasse, ce mastodonte cache difficilement ses faiblesses! Quelle fine observation joliment rendue par ta photo et ta note!
Le cadrage est très efficace de même que l'acuité des détails.
Superbe!

Good sharpness and light,a fine colours.

Aw, she looks very distraught!!
Love the texture in this shot Dot .. on the rhino's muddy skin, and the dirt around her. Almost looks like it could be a B&W too, with only the large yellow tooth with color. Great shot.

Hello,

moi aussi je verrai jamais dans mon jardin un tel animal, dommage, car il est superbe, quel belle corne, sa position, son attitude, une netteté sur la peau craquelée, grandiose image.

Merci et maitié

Hello Dot, what a sad expression!
A wonderful portrait of the rhino. The sharp quality is excellent, we can see all the texture of his leathery skin.
The close crop works really well.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Dot,

What a wonderful photo. This huge Rhino looks like a baby. Great moment and a greater presentation from your side proving that you know when to click. Sharp with nice tones and despite the fact that the zebra was causing problems the POV is superb.

Excellent work and TFS.

Best Regards,
Constantinos
