looks like this tree had enough winter and snow almost all year long, nicely placed, i like the contrast of its bare branches against thegradient in the sky and of course the geese are a big plus here.. and the creative frame... beautiful contribution for this theme..

Jolie contribution pour le theme de la semaine. Belle image bien composée et bien présentée. Compostion équilibrée, bonne netteté, exposition juste. Et la présence des outardes vient ajouter de la vie dans cette scène dévatée par l'hiver. Du beau travail.

I was off work for a few days this week with the flu...uggg...I think we need more sunshine and warmer temperatures to chase these bugs away. A very pretty picture, I like the tones and the tree has so much character! TFS

Hi Dot,
It looks like this tree has had a rough past, as if the top was chopped and the new growth now shapes its canopy. There is something majestic about leafless trees against the sky.
The shot is framed perfectly and the natural colors look great in the soft light.

I hope you are getting better and speedy recovery from the flu.

This is a wonderful POV. You really apply a great composition skill to show this tree-with-no-leaves as your key feature subject here and decorate it with the birds and surrounding landscape. That is photography at its best for you in presenting this view. The color tone naturally shows the seasons of the year here, unless our evergreen in Borneo.

I am so sad to hear of your illness and hope that you will soon be feeling better. TL is a great incentive to improve!

Superb composition with the tree standing proud and perfectly positioned. With such outstretched limbs, it appears to be conducting proceedings for the trees in the b/g, and the ducks.
The soft colour tones speak loudly about the time of year.

i hope you are ok now, Dot.. the leafless tree is beautiful.. i wonder how old that one.. that is one tree that is good turning it into artwork maybe next time..

nice one for the theme.. too late for me to joined.. last thursday and friday my computer connection was very slow by the time weekend came i have to go somewhere else and cannot post it.. oh well.. beautiful work again the landscape view is really lovely.. good work and take care..

un arbre qui a du en voir passer des oies!
il semble avoir été taillé (ou cassé?) et repartir avec vigueur sans se soucier des saisons qui passent et que nous rapellent si justement les oies (qui passent aussi!); après elles le vert arrivera vite je pense...
un cadrage sympa et une belle mise en valeur de cette saison intermédiaire, ni hiver ni vraiment printemps!
