very nice macro .. I like that you can clearly see the structure of the fur, looks very soft and velvety. and the shallow DOF puts the focus on the cat's head which is a good effect in my opinion.

Hi Pascal - nice opening image - welcome to TL!

I really like the unusual point of view, and the detail it provides on top of the head. More DOF would have provided an image rich in different ways, but I think this one has its own charms!

A nicely composed shot from an interesting point of view. The image is quite dark but I presume that was to create mood. Quite a nice alternative can be achieved with a little more light. A very good start to TL. Welcome aboard.

Hi Pascal Eric,

same here...cats were first "victims" of me getting myself a camera. :)
I love his pose...he looks so gentle but focused (is there a Jerry teasing him? :)
Focus on his eye is excellent choice...it leads from one focus to another.
Most detailed structure of the fur is superb and we can feel how smooth it is.
A true compliment to your wonderful Tom.

PS: I agree about independent...but such sayings usually come from people that never had a true experience with any cat.
