Personally, I thought this was a dumb spot to put a sign. It could have been placed adjacent to the walkway. But it was the stunning backdrop that caught my eye. At right in the distance is Lake Minnewanka ("Water of the Spirits" in Nakota - the Stoney Indian language).

Sulphur Mountain is easily reached by gondola.

Hello Chris,

I have to agree, the backdrop is stunning!

My attention was captured by the f/g initially. The dead wood, emerging from the snow, resembles a moose's antlers! I think I was connecting that with 'Don't feed the deer'.

The gap in the trees, with its central shadow, really channels the eyes towards the river and the distant mountains; a well chosen viewpoint.
Great depth of field.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Beautiful view Chris! You've shown us so many places in my own country - in my neighboring province, that I haven't even seen! Great shot.

Hi Chirs,
I've seen some of your landscape shots, but this is definitely one of the best you have taken. The snowy peaks in the background are just fntastic as well as the curvy river in the valley and the foreground snow. Perfect lights and clarity. I think you found the best POV to show us this breathtaking place. TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof
