| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Fall has arrived. Here is a duck at the local Japanese garden -- one of my favorite photo spots -- floating in a pool reflecting the Amur maples in all their glory. (I posted a wider shot if you want some context. I think there would have been hope for that if he hadn't been diving on the one wide shot I took.)
Anyway, I also wanted to say thanks for your suggestions over the past 199 shots. I don't know if I'm improved, but I sure have dropped a few bucks on equipment! :-) Anyway, as is tradition, here is a link to my first posting. This virtual world has been at least as much fun as the "Darkroomers" photo club I was in back in 1981 in San Diego. Thanks Adam for starting this crazy venture.
PP: This is about half frame (my 200 wasn't as tight as I would have liked, and I knew it at the time. After that, it was my usual workflow -- a contrast adjustment, resize, frame, and moderate USM. |

Hi Mike
Beautiful capture! This reminds me of my TL duck reflection photos. Have you checked them out?
YOur composition is superb, I like the colours and textures of the water. Great posting. Congrats. TFS.

Hi Mike,
Congratulations with your 200th upload. You sure have been a busy bee considering all three sites are your terain. What's the total number so far? I still have a few to go before I've reached this milestone. Not sure if and when it will happen.
What an amazingly beautiful reflection you've caught here. Those fall colors in North America are always so stunning. I do hope to witness them again but than with a camera. About the position of the duck, I am sure you know what I want to say. :)
TFS,
Niek
